ScrubPHI Privacy Policy
ScrubPHI detects and redacts personal and health identifiers in text, entirely on your device. It is made by Hammertime Consulting LLC ("we", "us"). Nothing you paste or type ever leaves your phone.
1. No accounts, no network, no tracking
- No accounts: we never ask for your name, email address, or contacts.
- No network calls: the app, Share extension, and keyboard extension make zero network requests.
- No analytics, no advertising, no behavioral tracking of any kind.
2. What stays on your device
Text you paste or type is processed locally and never transmitted. The app keeps an on-device audit log recording only finding types and counts (for example, "3 identifiers removed"). The log never contains the original text or the redacted values. You can clear the audit log in the app at any time. If you uninstall the app, all local data is deleted and we cannot restore it.
The keyboard extension runs with "Allow Full Access" off: it cannot access the network, cannot read other apps, and keeps no audit log.
3. Children's privacy
ScrubPHI is a professional utility and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
4. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated effective date at the top of this page.
