ScrubPHI Terms of Service
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ScrubPHI, an on-device text scrubbing utility made by Hammertime Consulting LLC ("we", "us"). By using ScrubPHI, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. The service
ScrubPHI detects and redacts personal and health identifiers in text, entirely on your device. The app, Share extension, and keyboard extension make no network calls. Nothing you paste or type ever leaves your phone.
3. Not a compliance guarantee
ScrubPHI is a redaction aid, not a guarantee of HIPAA compliance or complete de-identification. Automated detection may miss identifiers or redact incorrectly. You are solely responsible for verifying that scrubbed text meets your legal and professional obligations before sharing it. When in doubt, have a qualified privacy professional review the output.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code or detection engine; (b) use the app for any unlawful purpose.
5. Intellectual property
ScrubPHI, including its detection engine, code, and design, is owned by Hammertime Consulting LLC. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal or professional use.
6. Disclaimer
ScrubPHI is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that redaction is complete or accurate.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hammertime Consulting LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including any disclosure of identifiers the app failed to redact.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Contact and governing law
Questions: Hammertimeconsultingllc@gmail.com. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
